In the last few years there have been a lot of events popping up all across the nation for enthusiasts to partake in. Events have become a staple in the UTV community, bringing new riders into a sport that many have been enjoying for years. One of those new events is brought to you by Polaris and has taken the name Camp RZR East.
Camp RZR East is a one of a kind event put on by Polaris as a way to say thanks to all the RZR owners who have made the RZR the top selling sport side by side machine. Polaris brings the legendary Camp RZR that started several years back in the California sand dunes, often referred to as the Glamis Dunes. Last year Polaris realized that many enthusiasts located in the eastern part of the US were unable to make the long trek to Glamis, this lead to the birth of Camp RZR East.
Several things are required to make a good event great. Live music is always good, industry leading vendors never hurt, awesome trail riding and exploring, um yeah…that’s a requirement and Camp RZR brings all of that and more!
Camp RZR is set up in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains at the amazing riding area called, Brimstone Recreation. With nearly 20,000 acres at your service and almost 300 miles of trails to explore, Brimstone Recreation is one of the premier riding areas in the nation and a perfect place for a great event. Brimstone offers mud, hill climbing, trail riding as well as easy wide open gravel roads if that’s what you’re looking for.
Camp RZR brought out some of the industry’s best vendors with tons of products to introduce to the side by side community. Manufacturers like MB Quart were there displaying their latest speaker/amplifier setups along with their new RZR build. Axiom Side By Side was on hand showing off their latest aluminum protection gear, alongside Super ATV displaying their new Portal Lift gear box setup. MTX Audio was showing off their UTV electronics and gear, their t-shirt cannon was a big hit as well!
A big part of any Camp RZR is the demo rides where Polaris brings their latest UTV lineup and puts the machines in your hands. This year Polaris had several all new machines on deck for all of us side by side enthusiasts to take the wheel and give them a spin. Polaris brought out their brand new turbo 1000 RZR’s for everyone who wanted to see this new machine up close and test the performance. Also on hand was a row of 900 ACE’s with a seat available for anyone who wanted to take the steering wheel and feel the power of the new ACE 900.
Polaris once again proves that if you build it they will come. The 2015 Camp RZR was a huge success by any standard proving that if you put on a great event it will bring out UTV enthusiasts by the masses. Here at Side By Side Stuff, we are already looking forward to seeing what Camp RZR East will have in store for 2016!
