As the cold weather finally hit home, we were itching to get out of the shop and do something fun. So, we took a trip down to Hot Springs, Arkansas for the first annual Offroad Products Expo January 7th – 9th! Aftermarket vendors? New parts and accessories? You know that’s up our alley, talk about a great way to kick off the year!

All new in 2022, the Offroad Products Expo is a three-day event at the Hot Springs Convention Center that features a wide variety of off-road related vendors presenting their latest products, promotions and vehicle builds. From off-road parks and charity organizations to dealerships and aftermarket parts manufacturers, this expo had it all. With over 30 vendors in attendance, the expo drew in thousands of enthusiasts throughout the weekend. A success would describe this first-time event, paving the way for growth and its return to Hot Springs for years to come.

Event organizer and founder, Shane Besancon, says the idea came from noticing a lack of offroad expositions close to home. Shane, a brand ambassador for High Lifter, has attended a variety of expos in the West Coast and expressed his drive to help grow the offroad industry in the Southern Midwest. “We do all these kind of events out West” Shane explains, “and there’s just nothing like it in the South for these guys, so we’re just trying to make the industry grow out here”.  Shane tells us he’s making plans for 2023, and with the dates already announced, he’s working to meet his goal to bring the public a growing expo that’s bigger and better each year.

As you know, we just love aftermarket parts and accessories. We had a blast attending this event! From scoping out the new products to visiting with reps from some really great companies, time could really get away from you as it was easy to spend the day there. Good thing the event is three days long, we noticed some folks even came on back a second day bringing friends along with them. Whether it was a WOW factor or a cool factor, manufacturers like High Lifter, Rockford Fosgate, Thumper Fab, and Super ATV brought their A-game to the show leaving quite the impression.

Thumper Fab teamed up with Moorehead Offroad Engineering and did a live install during the show, beefing up a Can-Am Maverick X3 with some more than tough parts.

Getting to check out all the over-the-top UTV builds might be my favorite part of an expo, the Offroad Products Expo totally delivered! Row after row, you’d find several bad ass machines accessorized to the max. Be sure to check out our photo gallery from the show, there were so many good ones.

You never know what else you might see at the expo, a mega truck, a classic car, heck even the baddest, Bad Boy mower we’ve ever seen!

You won’t go home empty-handed either. Not only could you score some free swag from vendors, thousands of dollars in prizes were up for grabs including a set of Fuel Off-Road wheels and even a brand new 4-wheeler. And if you’re itching for more, you could find parts, gear, and apparel up for sale.

All in all, the Offroad Products Expo was a success! For its first year, it really came together. We anticipate this event to gain lots of traction moving forward and we’re looking forward to next year’s show. Mark your calendars, the Offroad Products Expo returns to the Hot Springs Convention Center January 6th, 7th & 8th of 2023, we’ll see ya there.
