When it comes to toughness, quality, and superior craftsmanship, you just can’t beat a Polaris side-by-side. Polaris is synonymous with high-quality in the side-by-side world, and whether you own a Ranger or a RZR, you’re bound to get years of satisfaction with your side-by-side experience. In order to get the most out of your Polaris side-by-side, you need to be able to exploit all of its versatility and power, and you need to take it into situations that can put you against difficult terrain or weather conditions. When you’re facing extreme conditions, you’ll want to have a few important accessories installed on your Polaris side-by-side to keep your ride (and yourself) safe.

Upper Doors

One of the first accessories you should be looking at is Polaris doors, particularly getting upper doors installed. While Polaris side-by-sides are great for hitting the off-road trails, having an open upper door can create problems if you’re out during harsh weather. You could end up getting rained or snowed on, and even if you don’t mind that, your interior could end up getting damaged from precipitation. It’s best to make sure that you have some good upper doors installed to keep the weather out and make sure that your ride stays in good condition.

Skid Plates

If you’re planning on taking your side-by-side out into the deep mud, you should probably get some skid plates installed to keep your undercarriage safe from excessive mud splashes and damage. Half the fun of going mudding in a side-by-side comes from hitting the deep puddles, but if you don’t take some steps to ensure that your side-by-side’s undercarriage stays protected, you could end up gunking up your engine and doing some seriously expensive damage over time. Skid guards will give you the peace of mind you need to enjoy the muddy trails without worry.
