“Green Goblin” – 2016 Polaris RZR XP1K4

On a recent trip to Glamis, California for Camp RZR we had the opportunity to meet John and Wendi Tyree; we were introduced to John and Wendi at the MB Quart booth and we quickly discovered they had their 2016 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 on display. The side by side completely decked out with MB Quart audio not only sounded great but looked pristine. As we visited with our friends at MB Quart and the Tyrees we got the scoop on John and Wendi’s RZR they dubbed “Green Goblin”.
“Our interest in RZR’s came from our neighbors and good friends Brian and Karen Sherman,” John begins. “We first rode in their 2014 RZR 4 1000 during a New Year’s trip at Glamis. That was when we knew our Rhino wasn’t going to suffice any longer. The improvements made between the Rhino and the RZR were virtually endless. We found ourselves shopping for the best deal on a new RZR right after that trip to the dunes.”
“AZ West won our business and we made the trip out to Havasu, Arizona to pick up our 2016 Titanium Matte Metallic RZR XP 4 1000,” John Continues. “Our first upgrade was to the roll cage, our friends at AZP Concepts made that happen with their Evo series cage. After that, we found ourselves in the market for improved seating to allow the use of 4 point harnesses. With a few phone calls and the help of our friend Brian, we landed on an equipment package from Pro Armor. They provided us with their new G2 Custom Seats, 3” 4-point harnesses, full doors, a suede steering wheel, front bumper, skid plate and all our lighting. Along with this came a great opportunity to showcase their brand new Pro Armor 32” Crawler XR tires and 15” Hexler Bead lock rims.”
“At this point there was no turning back, a few phone calls later and we arranged a wrap from the team at Wolf Designs UTV Wraps in Chandler, Arizona. They fashioned up an amazing graphic design and customized it to our liking so it’s a true one of a kind style. “
We have yet to mention that the Tyree’s neighbor Brian Sherman is the Director of Business Development at Maxxsonics, MB Quart’s parent company, and a representative for MB Quart’s marine and powersports division. So when it came to audio it was a no brainer, the Tyrees handed the task over to Brian; he set them up with a full MB Quart audio system. The Tyrees had the install done by Elite Car Audio in Mesa, Arizona.
“Chad from Elite setup our Boogey lights LED lighting while installing the stereo,” John continues. “Axia Alloys in Chandler, Arizona helped us out with a Panoramic Rear View Mirror and fire extinguisher and then the final touch was one last phone call to Rugged Radios for a full 60 watt car to car 2-way intercom system.”
At Side By Side Stuff, we know every UTV build is special, for John and Wendi Tyree, their RZR build was definitely a success. MB Quart showcased the Green Goblin RZR in their booth at 3 major US events in 2016, the LA Sand Sport Super Show, International Off-Road Expo and, of course, the Camp RZR West event at Glamis.
