We’ve been hearing the rumors and remained patient amongst the mass anticipation of the release of an all new Can-Am Maverick. On September 14th, Can-Am finally revealed its newest side-by-side during the Sand Sport Super Show at the Orange County Fair Grounds. The 2013 Maverick 1000R, with industry leading performance, rider-focused design and precision handling is finally here!
Topped at a massive 101 horsepower, the new Can-Am Maverick joins the high-performance Sport UTV class, and it’s targeted at the existing Polaris RZR XP 900 and Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000. It currently offers the most powerful engine within the industry and is a leader in acceleration and power-to-weight ratio. Its aggressive styling and rider-friendly cockpit are qualities that are sure to attract the most hardcore off-road sport enthusiasts.
At the heart of the Maverick 1000R is a Rotax ® 1000R V-Twin powerplant that powers that vehicle. Its engine is contained in a sport-tuned steel frame, offering supreme traction, agility, and perfect handling like no other model or brand. A lightweight and compact TTA rear suspension eliminates bump steer for easy, conventional handling.
The Maverick 1000R was introduced brilliantly, with its unique exterior design and performance package that is equipped with the comfort, convenience and safety that owners deserve. BRP continued to surprise its audience that evening with the release of a four-seat model as well, called the Maverick MAX 1000R.
The Maverick 1000R will be available to order beginning in February 2013. We’ll be keeping our eyes on this new model and the after market accessories that are sure to come out to take this machine to the next level! Stay tuned!
