Today, Polaris Industries announced that it hit a milestone. In its manufacturing plant in Spirit Lake, Iowa, polaris rolled out its 1 millionth vehicle – an orange Polaris Ranger 800 midsize side-by-side vehicle. Just thinking about it makes our head spin – one MILLION vehicles? That’s pretty crazy – but it’s no surprise. Polaris side by sides are some of the most popular models out there and with so many different vehicle types to choose from, it’s clear they’re an industry leader.

In the release from Polaris, the company President noted how significant this event truly is.

“One million units built marks an extraordinary milestone for our Spirit Lake operation,” Polaris president and COO Bennett Morgan said. “For nearly two decades, Spirit Lake has been a manufacturing center of excellence and a vital contributor to our success. Thanks to the adaptability of both our outstanding people and the facility itself, Spirit Lake has, in its 18-year history, produced each of our product lines (snowmobiles, ATVs, side-by-sides and motorcycles).”
