We know you’ve seen the viral videos of all your Facebook friends accepting the Ice Bucket Challenge and dumping ice cold water on their heads for donations to the ALS Association. Looks like Polaris Industries CEO Scott Wine is getting in on it, accepting the challenge and nominating fellow CEOs while he’s at it. If that’s not enough, he’s called out the entire Polaris dealer network, with a promise that if 100 Polaris dealers accept the challenge, he will donate $10,000 to ALS.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has swept the US, with celebrities even getting in on it and posting their own videos and donations. Since July 29, the challenge has raised more than $13 million. Compare that to the Association’s donations last year at $1.4 million over the same period. Impressive.
Whether you choose to dump the bucket or just write a check, this is a worthy cause and the viral challenge is raising awareness for this currently incurable disease. If you would like to participate, send your donation to: The ALS Association Gift Processing Center, PO Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
