BRP recently made their debut in the side by side utility class with the all-new Can Am Defender. Designed and engineered from the ground up, the Defender UTV is BRP’s solution for consumers in the utility class market. Determined to establish new standards in terms of torque and power, not to mention versatility to cater to any type of outdoor activity, BRP utilizes its proven Rotax engine technology to create the new Rotax 50-hp HD8 and the 72-hp HD10 engines. These durable V-Twin engines are work-focused and specifically calibrated to offer the best torque in the industry, the HD10 delivers up to 20% more torque at 4,000 rpm than the top selling competitor. Additionally, all Defender models feature an all new PRO-TORQ Transmission and a high-precision chassis with TTA-HD rear suspension.
Enhancing both performance and handling, the Defender utilizes a 4-mode traction system which features three select-able driving modes (Eco/Normal/Work) and has an optimized tight turning radius which is 2-foot shorter than its top competitor on a full circle. Furthermore, the Can Am Defender simplifies hunting, farming and ranching tasks with class leading towing and loading capabilities and ample ground clearance.
