White Knuckle Event 2019
May 23rd – 26th
Thousands of off road enthusiasts ventured to Huntsville, Tennessee for the annual White Knuckle Event at Brimstone Recreation May 23rd – 26th to spend their Memorial Day weekend riding, camping and enjoying some awesome entertainment. Dubbed the “Woodstock of ATV and SXS Events” by Dirt Wheels Magazine, White Knuckle Event (WKE) did not disappoint, the annual event featured a host of family friendly activities and entertainment and over 300 miles of trails to ride. We joined the festivities for WKE 2019 and did a little trail riding in the Cumberland Mountains.
From the Epic Karaoke Party to live music each night, there was no shortage of entertainment at WKE. Brimstone is known for bringing in major country music artists to preform and they did just that, this year’s lineup was Hardy, A Thousand Horses, Marshall Tucker Band and Brothers Osbourne. Brimstone has the right set up to accommodate top artists with a large main stage and a professional light and sound system, all the music sounded great and there was even an awesome firework show after the concert Saturday night.
The entertainment seemed endless, one of our favorite events on the schedule was the Nitro Circus Hi-Octane FMX show; it was fun to see the pros pull off some high flying stunts on their dirt bikes.
Another awesome event activity was the Wild Mountain Rampage, for this event attendees participate in five competitions and a few other activities for chances to win prizes. The grand prize was a brand new 2019 Yamaha Wolverine X2.
In Vendor Village you could find many aftermarket product companies, like MBRP Powersports, ITP Tire and Wheel, Seizmik, Hifonics, MB Quart, GBC Motorsports and Super ATV, displaying their latest products and visiting with customers. You could also find a variety of great places to eat; we had some chicken that was so good we ate at that vendor at least three times.
Aside from giving away a new X2 as the top prize in the Wild Mountain Rampage, Yamaha was on site with a fleet of Wolverine X2 side by sides for attendees to demo ride. You could find Yamaha in Vendor Village as well.
Honda was also on site with new Talon 1000X and Talon 1000R side by sides, we took the Honda Talon 1000R for a test drive. We were definitely impressed on the delivery of power and the handling of the machine. The ergonomics were great too; we’d love to get back behind the wheel of the new Honda Talon SxS for a more extensive test ride.
Nestled in the Heart of Appalachia, Brimstone Recreation features over 19,000 acres of OHV riding in the wilds of Northeast Tennessee. With over 300 miles of trails and roads to explore, you’ll find an abundance of scenic overlooks, streams, rivers and waterfalls, a variety of wildlife and culture exploration points of interest. Brimstone Recreation offers the adventure seeker an ultimate outdoor experience in its purest environment with an opportunity to enjoy recreational activities in the beautiful wilderness of the Appalachian Mountains.
We took a trail ride with the Razor Nation by the 336 riding crew and our friends from Abernathy’s Honda – Yamaha – Polaris; we even found a great spot on the river to cool off. We had a ton of fun exploring the trails and would love to go back and do it again.
All in all White Knuckle Event 2019 was a huge success. From awesome activities and entertainment to meeting some really great people, we had a blast, made some new friends and can’t wait to come back. WKE is a top notch UTV event, we recommend putting this event on your list and look out for next year’s dates. We invite you to join us at White Knuckle 2020, make sure to check the Brimstone Recreation Facebook page and website for event announcements.
