Marshall Motoart builds some of the wildest vehicles around and is quickly becoming known for building some of the most extreme UTV’s. Custom fabricator and founder of Marshall Motoart, Chris Burke is no stranger to the UTV industry. Knowing he was going to be featured on the TV show Destination Polaris for the fourth time, Chris knew it was time to step it up big and build a machine that no one has seen before. Chris and Marshall Motoart created SuperLeggera.
The madness all started with a brand new Polars RZR xp 1000. Chris saved a few parts from the stock machine and then set out to build a work of art. He fabricated a new chassis out of aluminum, in the process he modified it extensively. One of the more notable modifications to SuperLeggera, it is now a single seat machine while still retaining much of the factory appearance. The wheelbase was extended from 90” factory to 105” for a much sleeker look. The roll cage also received extensive modifications making the roof 17” lower than the factory height giving it an almost Indy car look.
It wasn’t enough just to make the car look fast, it had to be fast! Chris went to K&T Performance to get the full big boar and turbo charger treatment. After K&T was finished, Chris had an 1103cc engine capable of producing around 330hp at 25lbs of boost. STM Powersports helped out with the clutching and Muzzys Performance exhaust keeps it sounding awesome. At around 3 times the factory hp and 200 pounds lighter, SuperLeggera has the weight to power ratio of most any super car built today.
A few of the factory body panels were retained and the rest were hand formed out of aluminum by Chris. With the roof so, low Chris had to come up with a way to get into the car but he didn’t want to have a full door on this machine. Chris came up with an innovative and very sleek half door that opens Lambo style. It is a unique way to solve a problem and retain the sleek lines while making this RZR look like a UTV of European decent.
Marshall Motoart truly built a one of a kind work of art, completing it in only three months. The workmanship is excellent, attention to detail is top notch and the design behind SuperLeggera is inspiring.
