Founded after a split-off with Honda back in the early 60’s, Kymco has been building engines for other vehicle manufacturers for over 50 years. Known for building large volumes of scooters for the Asian and European market, Kymco is now producing their own line of sport UTV’s and utility side by sides to compete with Polaris, Can Am, Kawasaki and Arctic Cat. With a focus on a quality product but still maintaining a value price point, Kymco has UTV’s ranging from their midsize UXV 450cc up to their full size flagship UXV 700I LE.
The High Lifter Mud Nationals held in Jacksonville, TX every year brings tens of thousands of people to Mud Creek Off-Road park for a weekend of off-road action. This is a perfect opportunity for side by side manufacturing companies like Kymco to bring out their latest machines to put on public display. This gives those attending the event a great opportunity to see what manufacturers like Kymco have to offer.
It was at the Mud Nationals where Side By Side Stuff got the opportunity to speak with Kymco’s product development manager Al Golding who made a short video with us. Al and his team are spreading the word about the quality of Kymco, making sure people are aware that Kymco is not just another knock off manufacturer. Instead they want people to know that Kymco has a good track record and a history of building a quality product.
In this video, Al goes in depth talking about the 2015 Kymco lineup, going over a few of the models available. Al talks about the features of the Kymco flagship UTV, the UXV 700I LE as well as the all new UXV 450I. We also touched on standard features like Kymco’s full independent adjustable suspension, horse power specs, towing capacities and 2” receiver hitch. Every unit also comes standard with a digital gauge cluster.
Kymco has a full line of accessories available for their UTV’s. Everything from bumper packages, heater packages, multiple top configurations as well as Kymco’s line of full hard cab enclosures. Power steering and street legal blinker packages are also available as an upgrade option. Before you purchase your next UTV make sure to take a look at the Kymco lineup of side by sides as a solid option.
