The fastest, most powerful and most agile Gator has made its debut into the Recreational UTV industry. John Deere proudly released the all-new Gator RSX850i, which falls more into the sport-utility sector rather than as a working vehicle. While this was the first time John Deere moved into the sport segment, they surprised us further when they officially announced that there are three versions of the Gator RSX850i side by side to be released: The base RSX850i, an RSX850i Sport, and an RSX850i Trail.

The base RSX850i is the first Recreational Utility Vehicle to come equipped with a motorcycle engine. This 839 cc, V-twin, four cycle gasoline engine produces 62 hp and a top speed of 53 mph. It can accelerate from 0-30 mph within three seconds. This Gator’s closed-loop EFI system offers dependable performance at the highest or coldest altitudes. It is a true 4-wheel-drive vehicle with a 400 pound cargo box, high performance styling, and it can master any type of environment.

The RSX850i Sport Gator offers similar features as the base model but comes upgraded with alloy wheels, Maxxis tires, sport steering wheel, 35.5-inch sport seats, and Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks. It also comes with a pre-runner bumper and cargo box rails.

The last model, the RSX850i Trail, still possesses the same features, plus upgrades of a Warn Winch, alloy wheels with Maxxis tires, a front brushguard, 35.5-inch sport seats, cargo box rails and a rear bumper. All three RSX850i Gator models are designed to handle the steepest slopes and the roughest trails with ease. The front and rear anti-sway bars help keep the vehicle flat in the tightest corners.

We are definitely impressed by John Deere’s flawless new Gator RSX850i and look forward to what the future holds for it. We’ll keep you in the loop with new parts and accessories that are in store for this model.
