Oh, July. How we love you.
Not only are you one of the best months for rides and rallies, but you’re also a month for big news in the side by side industry.
As of July 1, Polaris has announced the model year 2015 for the RZR XP 1000 and RZR XP 4 1000 and we have to say: we cannot wait to see these machines in action. Not only will these RZRs continue the tradition of excellence Polaris Industries has prided itself on, but it will also roll out new features and improvements onto an already exceptional vehicle.
What’s in store? Well, for starters, there’ll be a higher output of 110 horsepower, because, hey, life is better with a few more horses! To get there, they showcase a new calibration: high-output cams, stiffer valve springs, and a higher compression ratio. It’s a little under 10% more power than any other ride in their classes – a HUGE step forward.
“As always, RZR has been the leader of recreational side-by-sides due to their ultimate combination of power, suspension and agility,” said Craig Scanlon, general manager of Polaris Side-by-Side Vehicles, in the most recent press release announcing the upgrades. “Even though we just launched the RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 last year, we’re always looking to improve upon every aspect of our vehicles’ performance.”
You’ll also find a revised exhaust system, new direct flow intake covers, a new belt, and a new clutch cover. Cleaner, more efficient, and more powerful. What’s not to love about this ride?!
